MISTY BLUES IN CONCERT FOR BERKSHIRE NURSING FAMILIES

Berkshire Nursing Families (BNF) is excited to announce a benefit concert in collaboration with local legends, Misty Blues. The event will take place at the ‘62 Center at Williams College. Misty Blues will perform their Queens of the Blues set for the first time in Berkshire County this year–don’t miss your chance! The evening promises an exciting mix of music and fun, all in support of BNF’s mission to provide free, essential feeding and parenting support for families in the region.
Since 1998, BNF has empowered Berkshire County families with free nutrition support for babies, including in-home lactation consultations, a 24/7 support line, peer groups, playgroups, and childbirth and breastfeeding classes. Community support, including fundraisers like this, help ensure BNF services are offered at no cost to families. This group, in residence in Springside Park, Pittsfield, MA meets each Wednesday evening from September through May. In addition to the monthly business meetings held the first Wednesday each month, the group offers guest speakers and workshops on a variety of interests.
Members work throughout the year to showcase incredible plants at this annual major fundraiser supporting the club’s budget.

The Triplex Cinema announces a special event with Dr. Joachim Frank, the winner of the 2017 Nobel Prize for Chemistry. The event will feature a screening of the 2020 Michael Winterbottom film “The Trip to Greece,” starring Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. Following the film, Triplex Creative Director Ben Elliott will moderate a discussion about the film with Dr. Frank, who has recently published a novel, “Ierapetra, or His Sister’s Keeper,” which is set in Greece. LENOX CONTRA DANCE

Our next dance will be Saturday, May 17th, with music by members of The Gas Light Tinkers - Clara Stickney (fiddle), Peter Siegel (guitar), and Garrett Sawyer (bass) with caller Hannah Chamberlain. Roles will be Larks and Robins.
Due to in progress repairs, the elevator is currently not usable to access the ballroom. Admission is $12-15 for adults and $8-10 for students. New Dancers - 2nd dance free!
Dances begin with a 15 minute beginner introduction at 7:15 followed by dancing from 7:30 to 10:30. Refreshments are offered during the social break from dancing. All the dances are taught. No partner necessary. Come alone or bring friends.
Please do not come to a dance if you have any symptoms or recently tested positive for COVID-19 or were in close contact with someone who recently tested positive.
