Local Athletes Compete at All-State Track Meet

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Monument Mountain’s Everett Pacheco Thursday ran a time of 9 minutes, 30.77 seconds in the 2-mile run to place 10th at the MIAA Meet of Champions at Fitchburg State University.

 

His fellow Spartan, Amelia Desilets, placed 22nd in the event with a time of 11:36.54.

 

Reigning Division 6 State Champion Mount Greylock had two girls in action on Thursday.

 

Brenna Lopez was 17th in the 2-mile run, clocking a time of 11:26.22. Katherine Goss placed 19th in the triple jump with a mark of 34 feet. 4.5 inches.

 

Wahconah’s Kathryn Perrone finished 11th in the 400 hurdles, hitting the finish line in 1:06.62.

 

Taconic’s Elijah Harewood ran a time of 22.52 in the preliminaries of the 200 meters, placing him 24th in the field.

 

The all-state meet concludes on Saturday afternoon.
