Lenox Boys, Girls Tennis Take Two Wins Apiece

LENOX, Mass. — Alex Holian pulled out a 10-8 pro set win at first singles for the Lenox boys to preserve a perfect pair of 5-0 scores in a double-header with Mount Everett on Thursday.

 

The unusual double-header, combined with the threat of rain, caused the teams to play the pro set format instead of the usual best of three sets.

 

The Lenox girls also won, 5-0, 5-0, in their matches with the Eagles.

 

Katie Shove was dominant at first singles, winning her matches by scores of 8-1 and 8-0.

 

Lenox is at Mount Greylock on Friday.

 

Mount Everett hosts Hampden Charter on Tuesday.
