Taconic Baseball Knocks Off Smith Voc

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Ed Ferris homered, doubled and drove in a pair of runs Wednesday to lead the Taconic baseball team to a 12-0 win over Smith Vocational in the Western Massachusetts Class B Quarter-Finals.

 

Quentin Christoper and Gavin Maffuccio split time on the mound in the five-inning win, combining to strike out 10.

 

Ethan O’Donnell and Maffuccio each had a pair of hits in a 10-hit attack for the Thunder.

 

Second-seeded Taconic (10-8) advances to face Belchertown, a 6-1 winner over Frontier, in the regional semi-finals.
