Wahconah Downs Lee

DALTON, Mass. – Marlee Arnhold Wednesday struck out 13 and walked none to lead the Wahconah softball team to a 9-1 win over Lee.

 

Arnhold allowed just two hits and an unearned run in the top of the seventh in the complete-game win.

 

She also helped her cause by going 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI at the plate.

 

Sammy Kaley also was 3-for-4 with a double. Harper Keay doubled. Mariah Barnes and Sydney Payson each had two hits, as did Edrie Collins, the team's lone senior, on Senior Night at Pine Grove Park.

 

Bri Lynch doubled and scored a run for Lee.

 

Lynch also went the distance in the circle, strking out eight and allowing six earned runs.

 

Lee (7-7) hosts Gateway on Thursday.

 

Wahconah (8-9) finishes the regular season at Frontier on Thursday.
